Trained in the interdisciplinary fields of architecture, art, and anthropology, and professionally experienced in urban planning, disaster management, and policy-making, Yutian is driven by a strong impetus to create spaces that people can thrive in, amidst both emerging and unforeseen built-environment challenges. Her work in design and policy has won numerous awards including the The Commendation Medal (Pingat Kepujian), Public Sector Transformation Awards, Texas Architectural Foundation O’Neil Ford Prize, and the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts.
